Thanks to over 70 years of experience, the bemberg® brand is now very established. With a friendly relationship with our customers, we would like to enable every sauna, steam bath or infrared lover to purchase a health-promoting heat cabin with energy-efficient heating systems in a simple and sustainable way. Paul Bemberg. Always ahead of time.

Paul Bemberg was the German sauna pioneer. In the 1950s, he brought the sauna idea from Finland, where he was stationed on a submarine during the war, to Swabia and thus founded the commercial sauna market in Germany. Back then, he began designing heating systems for sauna construction in his parents' mechanical workshop. He thought about how the sauna cabin could be heated more evenly and efficiently than a classic sauna heater and developed the famous rear wall heating system that is used by all sauna builders today. The first patent from Bemberg has been continuously developed to this day.

The family business began around 118 years ago (1898) by Paul Bemberg's grandfather with an industrial workshop in Lauffen am Neckar in Baden-Württemberg. This was the time of the manufacture of steam generators, especially for steam locomotives fueled by coke ovens. While most workshops in this pre-war period were dedicated to the production of metal coke ovens, some developed into railway and later automobile manufacturers in the 19th and 20th centuries. Paul Bemberg, on the other hand, developed the family business into a well-known sauna manufacturer. We designed and produced groundbreaking sauna heaters and sauna cabins over 70 years ago.

As early as 1968, Paul Bemberg developed and patented the rear wall heating system, which heats the sauna cabin more evenly and efficiently than a classic oven. The rear wall heating system disrupted the German sauna market for the first time. At first, the market resisted the innovation - today almost all sauna builders use the system, which is still very popular, especially among young families, for reasons such as the greatly or almost completely reduced risk of burns or the better energy efficiency of around 25% compared to one classic sauna heater.

Over the years, bemberg has produced further innovations with a focus on energy efficiency, such as the Hybrid heating system, the airACTIVE rear wall heating system or the urban wellness solution airRED in the area of infrared and the airSPACE Sauna.

Today bemberg® is an international brand and operates as a limited partnership on shares, so that bemberg sympathizers can participate in its success through share packages.
